VP - Strategic Talent Acquisition

The Vice President of Talent Acquisition will report to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for BAE Systems, Inc. and primarily be responsible for providing Strategic Direction to the overall organization regarding Talent Acquisition.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with the businesses to understand their short and long-term goals.
• Help identify innovative strategies to ensure a diverse pool of talent to meet the needs of the business.
• Responsible for University Relations/College Recruiting including supporting the company's efforts with FIRST program.
• Coordinate implementation of veteran and diversity outreach efforts.
• Development of relationships, execution of contracts and on-going management of execution with vendors (i.e, pre-employment background checks, relocation, executive search, etc.)
• Continually look for ways to maximize the efficiency of the hiring processes and talent acquisition lifecycle (including consistent policies and practices, where applicable) and collection/reporting of inc-wide metrics.
• Facilitate succession planning actions and talent management programs, as they relate to the overall talent acquisition process and develop/implement process for utilizing retirees as resources.
• Understand the direction of the market as it relates to Talent Acquisition in order to provide guidance and consultative services to the different Operating Groups.
• Interface with counterparts in other related organizations in UK/ROW, to leverage and share best practices and provide broad opportunities for employees to move internally, as well as to return to their home country.
• Provide support to the Operating Groups in the facilitation of movement of people and internal sourcing for senior level appointments.

Senior Project/Program team member responsible for work flow which is varied in nature with situations frequently requiring new solutions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preference Education: Master's Degree preferred
