African American/Black Strategy Vice President

We are seeking a seasoned professional to provide leadership in planning and executing AARPís African American/Black (AA/B) strategy and to ensure that AARP fulfills its commitment to attract and retain African America/Black members. You will oversee the accomplishment of AARPís annual operational plans ensuring the AA/B strategies and tactics are delivered per plan. You will also assume lead responsibility to establish dashboard goals, strategies and measurable outcomes related to AA/Black membership in AARP. You will periodically brief top management including the AARP CEO and the AARP Board. Further, you will ensure accountability for the ownership and integration of AA/B strategic goals by leaders and staff in the Association as well as participate in budget forecasting, execution, and staffing resources dedicated to the AA/B strategy. JOB REQUIREMENTS: To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field, and 10-15 years of experience in a private sector or non-profit organization. You must have experience in advising senior managers on business matters relating to new market development for African American/Black market segments. An MBA is preferred.
